Human Services

The Human Services program on DMACC's Carroll Campus prepares students for entry-level jobs interacting effectively with clients in a human services agency. It also can prepare students to transfer on to a four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor's degree in human services if they so desire.

Thanks to a partnership with Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, students can get a four-year degree in Human Services from Buena Vista without leaving the DMACC Carroll Campus. In this “2+2” agreement, students first earn two-year degree from DMACC and then become Buena Vista students for their third and fourth years of study. All four years of classes are taken in day or evening sessions at the Carroll Campus or online.

Wind Turbine Technology

The Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technology program prepares students for a career as a maintenance technician in industrial manufacturing. At the completion of the program, students should be able to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment ranging from basic mechanical equipment and electrical motor controls to the more complex systems used in manufacturing environments.
