Join a small group of other young adults who are accomplishing their career goals. You’ll build relationships with other Young Adult Program (YAP) students and YAP staff will be there to motivate and encourage you along the way.

You receive individualized guidance to help you succeed in the classroom and prepare for your career with education and knowledge that goes beyond the classroom.

You'll connect with a Program Navigator to explore and create your personal career development plan, support you inside and outside of the classroom, and provide resources you need to take the next step towards your career.
You'll connect with an Employment Specialist to practice fundamental employment skills to prepare you for the workplace, connect you with a network of employers or continuing education advisors, and provide resources you need to take the next step towards your career.

You receive FREE hands-on training that prepares you for the workforce.

The Young Adult Program (YAP) offers 10 DMACC short certificate programs in high-demand industries.
YAP participants receive FREE tuition and required books/supplies

You will receive career and/or educational transition assistance for one year after graduation.

An Employment Specialist will stay connected with you to ensure your first year of employment aligns with your goals or assist you in taking the next steps in continuing your education.
You have the potential to increase your lifelong average wage-earning potential with a DMACC certificate.
