Here is Workforce Training Academy's step-by-step guide to starting your career:
The first step is often the hardest. Don't talk yourself out of it!
The goal of this initial meeting is to make you more aware of what the Workforce Training Academy offers, what is expected of you, and answer all your questions.
- Turn in proof of household income to qualify for tuition assistance.
Proof of high school diploma or HiSET equivalency.
The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) helps assure employers that you are ready for the workplace.
This "pre-enrollment" class will help you learn about behaviors that lead to personal, academic and professional success.
Once you've decided on the career you want to train for, we'll help you enroll in the DMACC classes that deliver skills employers are looking for.
