The Liberal Arts AA: Business Transfer Pathway gives you a degree that transfers to many four-year institutions in Iowa as well as throughout the country in degrees such as accounting, business administration, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, MIS and many others. Check with your transfer institution for available majors.
This pathway includes
- business-focused courses (course numbers and descriptions below)
- core classes. Please make sure to consult with a DMACC Advisor before choosing core classes.
If you are planning to complete the degree part-time, take all Term 1 courses before moving to Term 2.

Term 3 - Choose your Transfer University by Term 3 - Meet with Advisor
If a student is planning to transfer to UNI: Complete the Business Elective listed in Term 3 either the summer before their 2nd year, or the summer after.

Degree Total: 64 Credits
*Students must identify their transfer destination in order to select the correct math class(es) and Business electives needed to transfer.
**If a 3 credit science class is taken in term 2, then students need 4 credits of distributive core in term 4 and vice versa to meet the 64 credit requirement.
