Campus Health is open and the Campus Health Specialist is in the office. Masks are required when entering Campus Health and appointments are strongly encouraged for all services. The Nurse Practitioner is in the office on Tuesdays 8am-4pm and Wednesdays 8am-Noon. Appointments are strongly encouraged and mandatory for some services. Call Campus Health at 515-964-6352 to speak with the Campus Nurse.
Students may also contact Nurse Practitioner, Ed Piasecki, outside of his DMACC hours at Unity Point-Merle Hay. Insurance will be utilized per Unity Point policy if using the Merle Hay location. Students with questions or concerns about COVID need to contact their primary physician. Campus Health isn't a testing site for COVID. We offer DMACC students FREE visits with a nurse practitioner for health concerns and needs.
We also offer:
Physicals: Appointments mandatory, fee applies.
Immunizations: Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria, Tetanus/Diphtheria & Pertussis, MMR, Varicella & TB testing. Fees apply. Check with Campus Health for pricing.
Assessment of minor illness/injury. Emergency First Aid provided.
Basic Lab Tests
Blood Titers: Drawn twice a week. Appointments mandatory. Fee applies.
Health Care Referral to local health care providers.
Educational materials are available in the Campus Health Office.
