Urban Des Moines Campus Academic Achievement Center (AAC)

Study Skills - Room 206

HOURS: Arranged

This lab furnishes students with techniques to manage time, take effective notes, take tests, and reduce test anxiety. College students can simply drop in to the Urban Des Moines AAC and work with instructors who will help assess problem areas and develop individualized practices to effectively deal with those areas. Students may also obtain specific instructional support. Any students who have difficulty organizing their approaches to learning particular concepts or problem solving methods in courses they currently are taking usually bring their study materials and texts to the Center to identify and correct the approaches involved.

Instructor, Tyrone Hunt, teaches Study Skills concepts and practices as well as GED preparation and High School Credit courses.
