COMPUTERS IN ROOM 204 and 208 are available during regular AAC hours of operation (Instructional help is limited to AAC hours)
The AAC’s computer lab has access to DMACC’s Local Area Network, which contains access to the Internet and to software support for subjects taught in college classes. In addition, the AAC is also supplied with PLATO 2000+, Destinations, Focus on Grammar, Tell Me More and Rosetta Stone - computer assisted instruction (CAI) programs that offer both developmental and supplemental study materials to students in reading, writing, mathematics (basic arithmetic to the calculus), study skills, chemistry, and physics. Headphones with microphones are available for ESL and foreign language students to practice speaking (accent reduction) activities. An instructor is available during regular AAC hours to assist students with questions about computer operation as well as software applications.
