Welcome to the Urban Des Moines Campus' Academic Achievement Center (AAC)
The Urban Des Moines AAC offers academic and support services to students who fall into two general categories - those enrolled in regular DMACC credit courses and those enrolled in our Adult Education program.
Students enrolled in DMACC credit courses may simply drop in to our open labs and supplement their studies with general or specific instruction in reading, math, accounting, science, English, writing, ESL, and computer applications. Any person who is 17 or older can enroll in our Adult Basic Education (ABE), high school completion (GED), high school credit, enrichment, or pre-college admission offerings. They will receive counseling/advising services when they first enroll. Their skills will be assessed, and they will be placed into appropriate study programs that will challenge, but not overwhelm them.
