Interested in taking classes at DMACC?

Summer classes begin May 28, 2008

Home from college and want to take a class or two at DMACC this summer? It's easy. Just follow the steps below for the number of credits you're planning to take.

  • Taking 8 credits or more: Complete and submit a DMACC Admission Application. Always apply as liberal arts, no matter what your major. Indicate that you are a guest student on your application. You must also provide a valid student ID from your college or university. You do not need to provide transcripts.

You will receive an acceptance letter in the mail from DMACC in about two weeks. Processing of applications may take 5-7 days once received. When you receive your acceptance letter, you can register for classes. Either call the Registration department for your login and PIN to register online (515-964-6800) or visit any campus to register in person.

You can call the Admissions department to find out the status of your application: 515-964-6495.

Remember, It's a good idea to first check with your college or university to make sure the class you are planning to take at DMACC will transfer back. To transfer these DMACC credits back to your primary college/university - request your DMACC transcripts.

If after summer, you decide DMACC is the college for you and want to take classes in the fall, you must reapply and then meet DMACC Admission and Assessment requirements.

If you have questions or comments, please email us.

Note: You must apply each summer. If you want to come back and take more classes at DMACC next summer, just follow the steps above to reapply next spring.
