STRIVE FACTS

  • The acronym STRIVE stands for Selected Training Received in Vocational Education.
  • STRIVE is a vocational/technical training program for students requiring resource assistance.
  • STRIVE has served area students since 1981 in vocational/technical training.
  • STRIVE has an enrollment of 75-85 students each year.
  • STRIVE students are enrolled in 28 different programs at DMACC – Ankeny campus.
  • The STRIVE staff includes 3 full-time certified special education personnel and instructional assistants.
  • STRIVE’s ultimate goal for students is employment in the career field for which they are being trained.
