LPN to RN

I am an LPN with a diploma and want to further my nursing studies and become an RN:

Students who previously completed a Practical Nursing Program and hold a license as a Practical Nurse may enter the Associate Degree Nursing-Advanced Standing Program.

All students must satisfy program specific entry requirements before being accepted into the Advanced Standing Nursing Program.

LPN to RN – Advanced Standing - Associate Degree

• This program offers the opportunity for current Iowa Licensed Practical Nurses to enter the third term of the Associate Degree Nursing curriculum and complete an Associate in Applied Science degree.
• Upon completion of Terms 3, 4, and 5 and attainment of program objectives, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurse Licensure (NCLEX-RN).
