History
- ITR courses were first offered at DMACC during the Fall 2005 semester.
- The ITR Associate of Science Degree and Certificate Programs were formally approved by the Iowa Department of Education during the Spring 2006 semester.
- More than 50 students have taken ITR courses to date.
- Languages spoken by ITR students include: Spanish, Arabic, Bosnian, Dinka, German, Korean, Russian, and Vietnamese. All languages (including American Sign Language) are welcome!

Admission Requirements
- Complete an application. Note: Most students can apply to DMACC online. For more information, click here.
- Attend required information/orientation session. For details on the next session, click here.
- Provide evidence of proficiency in English. Details on proficiency requirements can be found in the ITR Program Information Briefs.
- Provide evidence of proficiency in a second language. Details on proficiency requirements can be found in the ITR Program Information Briefs.
- NOTE: Students will need computer skills to be successful in the ITR program. If students do not have these skills, completion of CSC 110 or BCA 212 is strongly recommended.
