What Skills and Abilities Will You Need?

• Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of electronics, physics, mathematics, and programming.
• Apply such knowledge to problems surrounding the operation, installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of computer and network equipment.
• Communicate with business people, computer operators, and technicians about the safe operation, installation, and modification of equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to understand the technical manuals and other literature to upgrade existing skills and learn new skills.

Composition, Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Physics, Principles of Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Keyboarding

Program Entry Requirements

1. Complete an application.
2. Satisfy the assessment requirement and attend any required information/registration sessions.
3. Complete the required departmental algebra requirement by:
   1. completing department entrance exam obtaining a satisfactory score of 17 or higher, or
   2. submitting ACT scores with a math sub score of 19 or higher, or
   3. submit official high school transcripts showing successful completion of high school algebra II or higher within the last 5 years, or
   4. successful completion of MAT073 or an equivalent course with a grade of “C” or better.

Graduation Requirements
To earn an Information Technology Network Administration AAS degree, a student must complete all course work as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
