Graduates Resumes & Contacts

The Graduates of the DMACC Graphic Technologies Program complete three terms for a Graphic Technologies Diploma, and four terms for an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree. Students obtaining an AAS degree choose an emphasis in either printing technologies or graphic design. They complete the program at the end of the fourth term in December. Often students take additional courses during the spring term or complete elective courses during a fourth term graduation at the end of Spring term in May.

Because graduates of the DMACC Graphic Technologies program have learned technical skills that are in high demand, and experienced real world work experience through internships, they are sought after by Iowa employers and many are offered full time positions before graduation.

Below are the students who completed the Graphic Technologies program in December 2007.

	Angie Kochheiser Emphasis in Graphic Design. Angie is currently employed at Pella Products as a graphic designer where she produces a variety of materials for print and web. Her background in print and bindery has given her the edge in desiging catalogs and other materials for print production.		Anthony Benson Emphasis in Graphic Design. Anthoy is currently employed by Snow Creek Appare where he does a variety of tasks including screen printing, logo creation,and prepress. After graduation Anthonly plans to continue his education in design.
	John Stetzel Emphasis in Graphic Design & Digital Imaging. John currently is employed by Gannet Publishing as a Digital Imaging Specialist. John adjusts the images for a variety of Gannet publications across the United States.		Emily Barnhill Emphasis in Printing Technologies. Emily completed her most recent internship at County Line Printing in Des Moines where she worked in the press room doing just about everything. Emily previously completed training at Des Moines Central Campus Graphics and Printing program. While in High School she also interned at Carter Printing and Acme Printing in Des Moines. Emily hopes to find employment as a press operator and pursue a career in printing technologies.
	Ashley Routh Emphasis in Printing Technologies. Ashley completed her internship at Koch Brothers in Des Moines where she operated a AB Dick offset press to produce a variety of corporate materials. Ashley really likes printing, and hopes to find employment as a press operator and a career in printing technologies.		Justin Halverson Emphasis in Graphic Design. Justin is currently employed at ASI-Modulex where he completed a variety of tasks including design, typesetting, screen printing and sign building. He also worked with a varitey of clients while in school designing and producing projects such as booklets, brochures, and posters. Justin plans to stay with ASI and move into management.
	Triet Trinh Emphasis in Graphic Design & Web Design. Triet interned at Accent Tag & Label where he worked in the prepress department as well as designed a variety of projects for flexographic printing. He also has Information Technology training from his home country, Vietnam. Triet plans to continue his education in the Graphic Communication program at University of Northern Iowa.		Stacie Atkinson Emphasis in Graphic Design. Stacie interned at Purcell Printing in Urbandale where she worked in just about every deparment including customer service, prepress, bindery, wide format & digital printing and design. Stacie plans to pursue a career in digital publishing and graphic design.
	Leslie Jones Emphasis in Digital Prepress. Leslie interned at Purcell Printing in Urbandale where she worked in customer service, prepress, & digital printing and design. Leslie would like a full time position in prepress and/or design.		Trisha McDonald Emphasis in Photography. Trisha worked as a professional photographer at Flash studios while in college. She has since branched out on her own, providing photography as well as graphic design for a variety of clients. Trisha plans on continuing her own freelance business.
	Carin Cossitt Emphasis in Digital Imaging. Carin interned at the DMACC Chronicle, the student newspaper for the Ankeny campus. Carin was soley responsible for the layout and design of the entire publication. In addition, she enhanced all digital images and designed ads.		Scott Curtis Emphasis in Digital Imaging. Scott currently is employed by Gannet Publishing as a Digital Imaging Specialist. Scott adjusts the images for a variety of Gannet publications across the United States.
	Paul Smith Emphasis in Photography. Paul completed his internship, then was hired fill time at J. Narcisse Holdings, L.L.C as a photojournalist for the four newspapers and one magazine this company produces. Paul's knowledge of printing and graphics also assisted the publication in improviding image quality and layout. Paul also writes articles for these publications.		Brett Phillips Emphasis in Printing Technologies. Brett completed his internship and was hired fill time at Edwards Graphic Arts in Des Moines as an offset press helper. Brett wants to continue working at EGA and work his way up to be one of the head pressmen.
