The Graphic Technologies program is designed to prepare students in the graphic communications industry, combining state of the art technology with a practical hands on approach. When our students graduate, they are ready to pursue careers in today’s fast paced graphics field. Throughout the course, students learn the highly technical skills that will allow them a wider range of opportunities to choose from in the workplace. These skills include website development, variable data, digital photo editing and desktop publishing. These skills are further defined by applying them to printed media production such as flexography, screen print and offset printing in a working print shop setting.
Classes are focused on producing excellence through stimulating class discussions and challenging assignments emphasizing printing technologies, graphic design, digital imaging, digital prepress, or photography. Students experience a wide range of projects for customers under the close supervision of our instructors coupled with exciting, hands on internships to prepare them for today’s fast paced graphics field. When students complete the program they may find employment in a variety of graphic communications companies including small and large printing companies, advertising and marketing firms, publishing houses and in-house publishing and printing departments.
