Electronics Systems Servicing Technology Program

Requirements

What Skills and Abilities Will You Need?

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of electronics, physics, mathematics and industrial equipment
  • Apply this knowledge to problems surrounding the operation, installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
  • Communicate with managers and staff regarding the safe operation, installation and modification of electronic systems
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand the technical manuals and other literature to upgrade existing skills and learn new skills

Program Entry Requirements

  1. Complete an application.
  2. Satisfy the assessment requirement and attendany required information/registration sessions.
  3. Complete the required departmental algebra requirement by:
    1. completing department entrance exam obtaining a satisfactory score of 17 or higher, or
    2. submitting ACT scores with a math sub score of 19 or higher,or
    3. submitting official high school transcripts showing successful completion of high school algebra II or higher within the last 5 years, or
    4. successful completion of MAT073 or an equivalent course with a grade of “C” or better.

Graduation Requirements

To earn an Electronics Systems Servicing Technology AAS degree, a student must complete all course work as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
