About Electronics Systems Servicing Technology Program
The curriculum includes the fundamental technologies,systems applications and an internship. Upon program completion graduates may seek employment with localand regional electronic systems servicing companies. The last term of the ESST program requires an internship (ELT932).
Classes are held on the Ankeny Campus. Students start fall term.
Before students enroll in the ELT932 Internship course, they will be required to achieve a grade of “C” or higher in the DMACC courses pertaining to the students chosen internship area.
Students may choose an internship emphasis from one of the following four categories:
- Consumer Electronics: Courses requiring a grade of “C”or higher are ELT474 and 475
- Security Systems: Courses requiring a grade of “C” or higher are ELT482 and 483
- Business Machines: Courses requiring a grade of “C” or higher are ELT478 and 479
- Medical Electronics: Courses requiring a grade of “C” or higher are ELT484 and 485.
