About Auto Mechanics Technology

The Automotive Mechanics Technology program offers the beginning student three options:

• A diploma in Auto Engines and Tune-up
• A diploma in Auto Chassis and Power Trains
• Or by completing both diploma options and one other class, you can earn an AAS degree.

Employment in this high tech automotive service field is at an all time high.  Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to take the ASE certification tests.  This program is offered at the Ankeny Campus only.  Classes begin fall and spring terms.
