About Electronics, Robotics and Automation - General Information
The Electronics, Robotics and Automation program prepares students for a career as a technician in industrial manufacturing.
At the completion of the program, students should be able to diagnose and repair industrial equipment ranging from the basic motor control devices used in hard automation to the sophisticated industrial robots and computer integrated manufacturing cells that utilize microprocessors for programming and servo control.
The curriculum includes both the fundamental technologies and system applications. Upon program completion students may seek employment with area manufacturers maintaining plant equipment or with companies that produce process control or robotic devices.
