George graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in 1973. During the past 30 years he has owned his own contracting and millwork firm designing and building both residential and commercial projects throughout Iowa and the Midwest. He wrote tool reviews for Better Homes and Gardens' "Wood" magazine for 10 years and has been a consultant on several national publications. Now, he has brought his extensive experience, knowledge and skills in Architectural Millwork to the classroom at DMACC.

To relax, George likes to golf, hike and camp with the Boy Scouts, and fish and canoe in the BWCA.
