Computer Programming AAS Degree Discontinued

posted 02/06/06

The AAS degree in Computer Programming is discontinued.  The Office of the Dean of Business Management and Information Technology (BMIT) will spearhead special planning sessions for students who are currently enrolled in this program so they can graduate.  They will be receiving letters shortly about the discontinuation and will be encouraged to work with Dale Wagner, former DMACC counselor; Jeff Gullion, District Chairperson for Management Information Systems and Business Information Systems (MIS/BIS); and Drew Gocken, Dean of BMIT.

Students who had been accepted into this program for the summer term or the fall semester will also receive letters informing them that we will no longer offer this program with information about their options to select the MIS or BIS degrees.

In order to accommodate students who are in the midst of working toward the associate degree in Computer Programming, the department will continue to offer many of the courses required in the program.

Any questions should be directed to Drew Gocken, 515-965-7120 or Jeff Gullion 515-964-6367.
