Going Home Reentry Program - Mission/Vision/Goals
The Reentry program's Mission/Vision/Goals are as follows:
Mission
To protect the public and reduce financial and human costs associated with recidivism by successfully reintegrating serious and violent offenders into the community.
Vision
The reentry program is committed to divert identified offenders exiting incarceration from future criminal activity by:
- addressing criminogenic patterns,
- increasing pro-social skills, and
- ensuring offender accountability through proven, innovative and timely intervention.
Goals
- To enable serious and violent offenders to lead crime-free lives
- To enable serious and violent offenders to obtain and retain long-term employment
- To enable serious and violent offenders to locate and maintain stable residences
- To successfully address substance abuse issues through a continuum of services
- To successfully address mental health needs thorugh a continuum of services.
