DMACC Boone Commencement

Des Moines Area Community College's (DMACC's) Boone Campus 2008 Commencement will take place at 10 a.m., Fri., May 2 in the Boone Campus Gymnasium. More than 260 Boone Campus students will graduate this spring.  A reception will follow immediately after the commencement in the L.W. Courter Center.

DMACC Boone Campus student Cynthia Sari from Christ Church, New Zealand will welcome family and friends to the graduation ceremony.  

Dr. Kim Linduska, Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost of the DMACC Ankeny Campus, is the commencement speaker. She started at DMACC as an instructor and has served in several positions, including Special Needs Coordinator, Director of Academic Achievement, Dean of Student Services and Executive Dean of Academic & Student Services. In 1993, she accepted the position of Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs. She currently oversees all six of DMACC’s campuses and off-campus sites, as well as the functions of student and academic support services. Dr. Linduska received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She earned her Master of Science Degree in Industrial Education and Technology and her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Iowa State University. She is very active in the Ames Community.  She has also been involved in several statewide educational leadership groups, speaks widely on community college issues and is involved in a number of professional organizations.  Dr. Linduska is also a consultant evaluator for the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

DMACC Boone Campus Provost Dr. Tom Lee will preside over the commencement.
