DMACC Foundation Provides Sholarship Assistance
Posted 1/23/08

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) students who are in need of help with their fall 2008 tuition can apply for scholarship assistance online from the DMACC Foundation at www.dmacc.edu/foundation

Submitting one online application will place a student under consideration for every DMACC Foundation award for which they are eligible depending on the specific criteria such as grade point average (GPA), program or campus.  All students who have at least a 2.0 GPA and are taking a minimum of six credits hours in the fall of 2008 are encouraged to apply.

“The DMACC Foundation helps support more than 700 students annually with tuition support critical to the student’s educational goals,” said DMACC Foundation Executive Director Ganesh Ganpat.  “This support is possible from over 1,600 individuals, corporations and foundations that support our fundraising efforts.” The deadline for applying is April 1.

DMACC is committed to educating, training and encouraging success for students of all ages. DMACC is Iowa’s largest community college, annually serving more than 28,000 students enrolled in credit classes and more than 34,000 students in non-credit programs on six campuses and many other locations across Central Iowa.
