October Computer Classes at DMACC

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is offering eight non-credit continuing education computer classes this October. Each class will be held in Bldg. #15, Room 8 on the DMACC Ankeny Campus and includes a textbook and CD.
- Word Basic 2003 (Course Registration # 15139)
It will be offered Tues., Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will cost $99. This class will cover basic skills in creating a wide range of documents from fonts, alignment and margins to page breaks and tabs. Advanced registration and payment are due by Fri., Oct. 5.
- Access Intermediate 2003 (Course Registration # 15122)
It will be offered from 6 to 9:30 p.m., Tues., Oct. 9 & 16. The cost is $109. Attendees will learn to customize databases, plan and build the structure of a new database, find and join data, create flexible queries and customize reports. Advanced registration and payment are due by Fri., Oct. 5.
- PowerPoint Basic 2003 (Course Registration # 15147)
It will be offered Thur., Oct. 11 and 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for $99. Participants will discover how to format text slides, add tables, images and transitions to a presentation, and create speaker notes. Advanced registration and payment are due by Tues., Oct. 9.
- Excel Basic 2003 (Course Registration # 15129)
It will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Mon., Oct. 15 and 22. It will cost $99. The class will show learners how to design and modify a basic spreadsheet, perform calculations, format a worksheet and develop and print a workbook. Advanced registration and payment are due by Wed., Oct. 10.
- Word Intermediate 2003 (Course Registration # 15142)
It will be offered Tues., Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $99. Students will learn to create, modify, and enhance complex documents; manage lists; customize tables, charts and graphics; and perform mail merges. Advanced registration and payment are due by Fri., Oct. 12.
- Access Basic 2003 (Course Registration # 15119)
It will be offered Tues., Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $99. Participants will learn essential database skills including managing data, establishing table relationships, querying the database, designing forms and producing reports. Advanced registration and payment are due by Fri., Oct. 19.
- Excel Intermediate 2003 (Course Registration # 15132)
It will be offered Wed., Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $99. Participants will learn to streamline and visually enhance spreadsheets, create and apply templates, sort and filter data and use Excel with the web. Advanced registration and payment are due by Mon., Oct. 22.
- Access Advanced 2003 (Course Registration # 15125)
It will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 25 and Nov. 1. The cost is $99. This course will teach students to create robust, highly functional databases, write advanced queries, simplify tasks with macros and maintain an Access database. Advanced registration and payment are due by Mon., Oct. 22.
