Boone Instructor Receives Distinguished Regional Coordinator Award

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Boone Campus Math and Physics Instructor and Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Iowa Regional Coordinator Nancy Woods (right) was named the Distinguished Regional Coordinator Award recipient at the recent PTK International Convention held in Nashville. Congratulating Woods is Preston Schmidt, a PTK International Vice President from North Dakota. In addition, DMACC Carroll Campus PTK Beta Theta Xi Vice President Joshua Smouse of Coon Rapids received the Distinguished Chapter Office Award. Also, Iowa Association of Community College President’s Executive Director Dr. R. Gene Gardner received the 2007 State Community College Director Award of Distinction.
