DMACC Kite Festival Rescheduled for April 29^th

DMACC will be hosting its Fifth Annual DMACC Kite Festival from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sun., Apr. 29 on the DMACC Ankeny Campus.

Thousands of kite enthusiasts have enjoyed flying their own kites or just watching the hundreds of kites flying over the DMACC Ankeny Campus during the past kite festivals.

A kite-building workshop will be held starting at 11:30 a.m. in Bldg. #7 on the Ankeny Campus. The kite-flying workshop will focus on building a simple kite for young flyers. The kite kits cost $3.50 each and include everything you need to fly a kite, except for a gusty breeze. The general public is encouraged to fly their own kites or bring a lawn chair and enjoy the festivities. The event is free with the kite kits costing $3.50. The Kite Festival will continue until 3:30 p.m.

The DMACC Pioneers will have refreshments for sale with proceeds going toward DMACC scholarships.
