What happens when you visit the doctor?

  • Get a closer look at procedures performed in the office, listen to your heartbeat, check vital signs, perform vision and hearing tests.
  • Learn about tests for heart disease, look at x-rays and check oxygen levels.
  • Do simple tests on blood to determine blood types and on urine to check for infections.

Broken Bones, Blood and Bandages

  • Learn first aid procedures that can be used for emergency situations
  • Receive a certification card at the completion of the session

How does aging impact our body?

  • Try walking with corn in your shoes or wearing “wacky glasses”.

Designed for students entering grades 7, 8 and 9.

Dates & Times:
Tuesday & Wednesday: June 24 & 25, 2008; 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Location: DMACC, Ankeny Campus, Bldg. 9

Cost: The $69 tuition will cover all camp expenses. [Registration Form]

Each student is asked to bring a sack lunch including beverage; morning and afternoon snacks will be provided.
