A four and one half day, hands on, biotechnology CSI Camp is designed for students entering grades 10, 11, or 12 with one year of biology.
Solve a fictitious crime, process crime scene evidence, use traditional fingerprinting methods, DNA fingerprinting, Gel electrophoresis, Polymerase chain reaction and forensic entomology.
CSI Camp is sponsored by DMACC’s Biotechnology, Criminal Justice and Continuing Education programs in cooperation with Heartland Area Education Agency Science Education Mobile Instruction Lab (SEMI) Parents are invited to attend CSI camp on Friday morning, June 20.
Dates: Monday – Friday, June 16-20, 2008
Times:
- Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Tuesday–Thursday: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 noon
Location: DMACC Career Academy, Hunziker Center, 1420 S. Bell Ave in Ames, Iowa.
Cost: The $99 tuition will cover all camp expenses and lunch, no lunch will be served on Friday. [Registration Form]
