·         Taught Russian and French language courses; a variety of courses on Russian business, literature, history and culture both in Russian and English, as well as Jewish Studies course in English via long distance for ISU, UI, and UNI; Honors Seminars.

·         Organized, budgeted and directed seven Study Abroad Programs in Russia and Belarus

·         Served as Russian Club Advisor. Administered a variety of field trips and multi-cultural programs for the students and public. Invited guest speakers and performers, organized students’ concerts. Annually participated in “Faces” festival in Ames.

·         Served in the following committees: Curriculum Committee, Convenor for the Russian Studies, Library Liaison, Jewish Studies Committee, Chair, Events and Colloquia Committee, Drake Senate, Joint Committee on Students’ Concerns.

·         Presented papers annually at conferences of American and British Associations of Slavic Studies.

·         Published a number of articles on Russian literature, have a contract for a book publication.

·         Was awarded several grants and a Certificate of Appreciation for teaching contribution made to the Iowa State Honors program.

Founder and President

·         Provided and coordinated a number of translating and interpreting services for Council for International Understanding, Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation, Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Iowa Export and Import, Jewish Family and Community Services, Compressor Controls Corporation, Legal Language Services in NY, Great Plaines in KS and others.

·         Created the curriculum for 16 week course of intensive Russian for Dowling, Urbandale and Ankeny High Schools and taught it for the students going to Russia on exchange programs in Spring 1996.
