Second semester of biology for majors. Topics covered include the origin of life; surveys of general characteristics and life cycles of prokaryotes (bacteria and cyanobacteria), plants, fungi, and invertebrate and vertebrate animals; plant structure and
growth; plant control systems; plant reproduction and development; animal structure and function; animal reproduction; animal development; general ecology; population and community ecology; ecosystem and conservation ecology.
