I teach Basic Electricity, Advanced Electricity, Diesel Electronics,
and Air Conditioning. These classes are a part of the Diesel Technology and
Caterpillar Technology programs here at DMACC. A good solid understanding of electrical principles is more important today than ever before in the diesel equipment industry. While you could function as a mechanic in the past without electrical skills, today's technician is very limited without some understanding of electricity. Modern engines, braking systems, and many transmissions are now controlled by electronic circuits and components. I graduated from the
Diesel Technology Program here at DMACC in 1984 and have been teaching in the
program since 1989. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions
about our program or about the diesel industry in general. |
