best during daytime, I was not too thrilled getting a summer night class. But the class turned out to be one of the
best ever. The enthusiasm, the focus and
the positivism of these students totally won me over from day one. We starte
Set aside time every week to study. If information is presented more than once, it’s a RED FLAG. You will need that information for a test.
-----------
If you have a limited amount of time to study, type out your notes from each class.
----------
The course is very interesting, but very tough material to learn (and remember).
Study tips: Take good notes
Study your notes when you get home
Form study groups
Look over chapter reviews at the end of each chapter.
----------
Try to take time each day to look over the material.
----------
Study your notes very thoroughly. Pay attention in class and take good notes ad is should get you through the tests. The class was very interesting and challenging. A summer course covers so much information in a little amount of time. That means do not procrastinated and keep up on your studies. Have fun. J

Attendance is crucial!
Absolutely, positively study class lecture notes!
Good idea to read chapter checkpoints and take quizzes at the end of each chapter.

Attend class each day.
Review notes regularly----not just the day before test.
Keep notes neat and complete without being too wordy. Use different colors to highlight or take notes in. Sometimes feel it is easier to recall something if I see it in my mind in a particular color.

-Commitment!!! (time)

Great class, Great teacher, be prepared to learn a lot of information. J
#1 most important thing is being committed to the class and making time for the class, every night.
-------
-Get out of the mindset that they will be the hardest class you’ve ever taken. It’s very interesting: can be fun… Just remember, it’s what you make of it.
-Use the study guide…but go into more detail. Whatever is on the study guide is on the test, but your knowledge of the material might be a bit expanded. Study your notes---truly learn them, and you’ll do great.
-Read the text, but don’t let the details overwhelm you
-Go to class everyday!!!

Make sure you read the chapters, study all of the notes given in class, and start studying after each lecture.

My biggest help was to make flash cards of the concepts that I needed to learn. I carry them and my notes everywhere. When I have a few minutes, I would study a concept or two. Also if I didn’t understand something I would search the Internet to find it portrayed in a way I could.
-----Deb Kopaska
For studying, I would say know the study guides very well, but don’t forget to look through the notes too. The book doesn’t do a lot except to look something up if you don’t understand it.

Great Class! But study from day 1, even if it’s just a little bit a day. When test time comes, you won’t feel so overwhelmed.
------Katina Moore
Study your notes using her study guide and you’ll do fine. Notecards are a GREAT tool for studying!
-------Heather Randall
The notes were very helpful. The instructor thoroughly explained everything in the notes. Completing the study guide before each exam was extremely beneficial.

Work reviews at the end of each chapter. Work in a study group.
-------CJ Robinson
Memorize every essay question.
--------Julie Siefken
I enjoyed the class. The study guides were very helpful, so was the extra credit.

i. Take your time in lab, ask questions, Mrs. Moss is very helpful
ii. Pay attention to when she says “ this is a good defined term or fill in the blank question” It will be on the test
iii. When she puts pictures up, look at the book and put page# down in your notes. It’s very helpful to look at those pictures and diagrams when studying
iv. Attend Every Class; every class is critical because the test is based on notes from lecture.

Always come to class! This is an intensive course, and missing lectures and labs will cost you both in understanding and points. Organizing information into charts is very useful in preparing for examinations. Dr. Moss tells you exactly what to expect on the tests, so it is wise to prepare according to her outline. This is a difficult course, but Dr. Moss is available to answer your questions. Do not be afraid to ask! Most of all, enjoy the “hands-on” aspect of this course! You will learn the same techniques used in laboratories all over the world!

It wasn’t an easy class, but it was fun to learn about a wide spectrum of stuff!
