Welcome to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Urban Library!
The Urban Library is located in Building 1, across from the student lounge area. Whether you are looking for the current issue of your favorite magazine, assistance with your class research project, or just a quiet place to study, the Urban Library is for you.
We are a full-service college library, providing all the services you would find in any college or university library. These include reference, interlibrary loan, access to online research databases, citation tools and more.
Our space includes a 25-computer classroom. This classroom is used primarily for classes that come to the library to learn about research and the process of research. When the classroom is not occupied by classes. it is available for students to work on research and class projects. The daily schedule for the classroom is posted on the front doors of the library each day.
