Peripheral Nerve [x.s.]
H & E Stain / [450X]
Neurolemma of the Schwann cells [inside the endoneurium], surrounding the nerve fiber [axis cylinder] and the myelin sheath. The myelin sheath is the "lavender fog" around the "dark dots" which are the actual neuron process [the axis cylinder] or the nerve fiber.
The loose fibrous connective tissue "wrappings" of the nerve fibers are divided [like in muscles] as follows:
Endoneurium : around individual nerve fibers
Perineurium : around bundles of individual nerve fibers
Epineurium : around bundles of bundles of individual nerve fibers
