This list consists of books which I am familiar with and I believe are excellent add-on resources for you to use during this course. This extra credit opportunity is limited to one book per course, and you may only apply each book to one course. This opportunity is designed to allow for students to make up for a missed assignment (or two) and/or a quiz. You may only select books from this preapproved list or received advanced permission on other books (if I am familiar with them and think they would be valuable). You must read the book during the term you wish to receive credit, and the book must not be used for regular course work in another class!!
MAXIMUM POINTS
AVAILABLE: 25
Points will be applied toward the “Assignment” portion of your
grade. In order to obtain the maximum
points you must turn in a minimum 2-page typed report on the book (1 page
summary of main points/ 1 page analysis of what you liked and didn’t like). This report must demonstrate that you read
the book and got something out of it.
Points will be taken off for poorly typed reports (including grammar,
spelling, etc.), inadequate content, and/or a lack of clarity as to whether you
read the book and/or what you got out of it.
