Introduction to Respiratory Therapy
This is the initial class in the respiratory
therapy program. In this class you will
have the opportunity to learn the history of the respiratory care profession,
the basics of patient evaluation and assessment, how best to communicate with
patients and the basics of health care ethics and documentation. This class, in combination with the
Therapeutics and Gas classes, will prepare you to begin your practicum
experience in respiratory care. The
information from this course will serve as the foundation for all classes to
follow in the program.
