A

 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University (B.S. Secondary Ed./English) and Iowa State University (M.A. English), I've taught English and journalism courses (full time) at Des Moines Area Community College since 1991.  I advise the Boone student newspaper, Banner News.  In addition to teaching, I'm the president-elect of Des Moines Area Community College's Higher Education Association and chair the DMACC Curriculum Commission, as well as serve on the AQIP committee. I serve as the Boone Campus group leader for English, journalism, photography, music, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish.
