Objective:

This exercise will be developed throughout the course of this class.  It will be used to demonstrate various applications of style sheets and DHTML concepts.  It will also be used to introduce the DreamWeaver development environment.  

Instructions:

This project requires the following pages and elements to be included in the pages of this site.  All projects will use the same basic theme and overall structure.  Content and structure will be up to you as this project is developed.  DO ONLY MINIMAL FORMATTING AND NO BACKGROUNDS.  Keep the pages as simple as possible.  Formatting and Presentation will be applied using Style Sheets and DHTML.

Theme/Background:

Barb and Gordon Ireland have recently opened a new hair salon in the New Orleans French Quarter.  They have contacted you in regards to producing a website for their new business "IRISH HAIR".  Their business will encompass many of the traditional hair salon services as well as a focus on business and executive hairstyles.  They offer an assortment of hair and body care products.  They would like to be able to schedule appointments online as well as sell their products online in the future.  For now, they want their website to incorporate the following features:

  • Home Page - This page should contain the following elements
  • The use of at least one H1 through H4 on the page
  • At least two paragraphs
  • At least one text link to the About Us Page
  • About Us Page - There should be a page listing the owners biographies and a picture of each.  As well as the following elements
  • The use of at least one H1 through H4 on the page
  • At least two paragraphs for each person
  • One image for each person
  • At least one text link to the Home Page

·        Appointment Page – Barb and Gordon each want a page that will get appointment information and send it to their own email account.  

  • Use an H3 for their name on each page

  • Use an image on the page that represents Barb or Gordon

  • Create a form that use text boxes to gather name, phone, date, day, and time.

  • The submit button should send a email to you. 

·        Salon Page – This page will list the services and prices offered, hours of business and links to related interests.  The following table identifies the basic elements that should be on your page.  If possible select a related image for each service or product.

  • Use an H3 to identify the page
