In Class Lab Project #4 - Positioning

Directions:

This assignment will explore your understanding of how to apply positioning to a web page.  This will require the use of the <DIV> and <SPAN> tags.  It will also require the use of several areas of the DOM object as well as several basic Javascript functions.

Instructions:

  1. Create an area on a page with a light blue background.  This will be referred to as the 'Pond'.
  2. Place the clip art frog on top of the blue surface in the middle.  From this point on this will be referred to as 'Mr. Frog'.
  3. Place Mr. Frog and pond in the middle of the page.
  4. Place the following text at the bottom right hand corner of the pond.  "Mr. Frog Jumps Out of the pond".
  5. Place the following text at the top right hand corner of the pond.  "Mr. Frog Sinks".
  6. Place the following text in the middle of the pond.  "Mr. Frog Comes Home".  This should not show up whenever Mr. Frog is in the middle of the pond.
  7. Whenever a mouseover of the text "Mr. Frog Jumps Out of the Pond" occurs move Mr. Frog off the pond.
  8. Whenever a mouseover of the text "Mr. Frog Sinks" occurs make Mr. Frog disappear.
  9. Whenever a mouseover of the text "Mr. Frog Comes Home" occurs place Mr. Frog in the middle of the pond.

Meet Mr. Frog.  Often referred to as frog.gif.
