Emails and Announcements

25 January 2012

Dear Students,

I know many of you have had to miss class for one reason or another and have asked me what we are doing or what you need to do to catch up.  It is hard for me to respond to every such request so I am going to post here and in future emails an itinerary of what we are doing.  This way you can keep up with the material ahead of time.  Please use the timeline below to give you an idea of how to prepare for each day and what to look at as you look ahead.

20 January (Friday) – We covered more of chapter 1 lecture notes

23 January (Monday) – We finished up Chapter 1 lecture notes

25 January (Wednesday) (today) – We are starting Chapter 2 notes on environmental economics and environmental policy.

27 January (Friday) – Continue chapter 2

30 January (Monday) – Finish up chapter 2 and probably start chapter 3 on environmental systems

01 February (Wednesday) – I may not be here on this date because of an honors program meeting.  I will keep you informed on this date as I find out more. (Update: I will be here on this day so we will work on chapter 3)

03 February (Friday) – Continue chapter 3 (We will not have the test on this day as originally planned because of my potential absence on the 1st and because we may not have quite enough time to finish chapters 2 and 3 before Feb 03.)

06 February (Monday) – Continue and finish up Chapter 3

08 February (Wednesday) – Start Chapter 4

10 February (Friday) – Test on Chapters 1, 2 & 3 (I will not be here on this day because of a meeting I have with UNI, UofI and ISU in Newton all day but you will have a sub proctoring the exam.)

20 January 2012

Dear Class,

I know that some of you are still not getting my email messages and hopefully this message will get to those that have not gotten earlier ones.  But I may not be able to reach everyone all the time so I am going to be posting my emails on the website as well so please check that from time to time to make sure that you know what is going on.  You can find the website again at the following address…

Our first test is scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2012.  It will cover chapters 1, 2 & 3.  We will talk about this in class as we get closer to the test and I will be giving you some example questions in class.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
