Instruction |
Instruction will consist of lectures
and in-class group learning exercises. You will also be expected to present
selected solutions on the blackboard. |

Homework |
Homework will be assigned and
collected on a regular basis.
Assignments must meet the following criteria for full credit: 1.
Turned in on time. 2.
Must be both neat
(by any reasonable college standard) and complete. 3.
Done on loose leaf paper; NO
spiral bound edges!! 4.
Stapled; NO paper clips or
folded corners. Approximately 2 4 homework
assignments will be dropped when calculating your final homework grade. |

Quizzes |
Short quizzes will be given on a
regular basis. Unless otherwise
stated, quizzes will be given on Friday of each week. Quizzes cannot be taken early nor can
they be made up after their regular time.
At least one quiz will be dropped when calculating your final quiz
grade. Quizzes will be done in groups
with books and notes as available resources. |

Hour exams |
Approximately 4 to 6 one-hour exams
will be given during the semester.
These exams will be announced with approximately one weeks
notice. See the exam make-up policy
below. Books, notes, and groups are
not available for these exams. |

Missed exams |
If you miss a regularly scheduled
hour exam you have two options for making up the exam. You can take the exam within two class
meetings or you can take the exam during the final two weeks of the semester. Make your choice of arrangements with me in
person. If you know ahead of time that
you will be absent on the day of an exam you can make arrangements to take
the test early. |

Attendance is not taken nor is it
computed directly as part of your grade.
