DMACC High School Completion Program

About the Program

DMACC's high school completion program serves many adult and high school area students striving to complete their secondary education. Students who are not successful in the traditional setting find the High School Completion Program independent study courses a beneficial educational alternative. The DMACC High School students also have the ability to become involved in existing programs on campus at DMACC. As part of our mission, students will be given the opportunity to earn scholarships and enroll in college coursework while completing their high school requirements. Nearly five hundred graduates are awarded a DMACC Diploma or GED annually.

The DMACC High School Completion Program offers a more non-traditional setting that serves as a drop-in center for students who want to take advantage of flexible hours, strong curriculum, and dedicated faculty. In addition, the DMACC program offers the student the opportunity to play a part in development of a personal education plan that outlines career and vocational interests.

The high school completion centers offer students many opportunities to further their education in existing career development programs offered through DMACC.

Programs offered for high school completion include the DMACC Adult High School Diploma, the High School Equivalency Diploma (GED), and credit transfer courses through learning centers located in Ankeny, Boone, Carroll, and Urban/ Campus.  A High School Correspondence Program is also available on the DMACC Success Center.  All programs are accredited through the Iowa Department of Education.
