Agribusiness Scholarship [AGRIBU]
Funds donated by the DMACC Agribusiness Program to establish the Beef Extravaganza/Agribusiness Scholarship

Robert & Sheri Horner Scholarship [HORNER]
Funds donated by Robert & Sheri Horner are awarded to DMACC students that are selected by Mr. Horner.

Greater Des Moines Heating & Cooling Scholarship [GDMHCA]
Student must be enrolled in DMACC’s Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program for at least 6 credit hours and have a 3.0 GPA. They must have a desire and aptitude to excel in the HVAC industry, be committed to completing the program with passing grades, agree to complete the ARI exam for heating & air conditioning technicians and agree to attend a GDMH&C meeting to personally thank the Association members for their award.

Des Moines Construction Council Scholarship [DMCONS]
Students must be enrolled full-time in the Building Trades Program, have a 2.0 GPA and be able to show verifiable financial need.

Hospitality Careers Scholarship [HOSPC]
Recipients selected by the Program Chair.

Minority Education Scholarship [MINORE]
Awarded to an Ankeny or Urban Campus student that is from a minority race as described by the State of Iowa (Black, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native). They must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours, have a 2.0 GPA and be able to show verifiable financial need.

Automotive Scholarship [AUTOMO]
Scholarship support for the Automotive program.

Governor’s Charity Steer Show Scholarship [GOVCHA]
This scholarship is offered to the highest bidder on DMACC’s entry in the Governors Charity Steer Show at the Iowa State Fair. Since there is no GPA or credit hour requirement, this is awarded is given as a grant.

Child Development Scholarship [CHILDD]
Considered an internship grant. Used to support student travel. Originally funds were set aside from the Foundation monies to aid students traveling to Sarahashi Japan for teaching internship at Sarahashi kindergarten, but future plans can include other travel internships. Recipient is selected by the Child Development Department.

Commercial Art Scholarship [COMART]
For students in the Commercial Arts Program. Students are selected by the Commercial Arts Program instructors based on a portfolio evaluation.

Consortium Scholarship for Women [CONSWE]
For female DMACC Ankeny, Urban or West Campus students, age 30 or older who are enrolled full-time with a 2.0 cumulative GPA and verifiable financial need. Students should show past or present community service involvement.

Dental Area Scholarship [DENTAL]
For students in either the Dental Hygiene or the Dental Assistant Programs.

General Scholarship [GENERA]
Awarded to DMACC students at any campus who have the minimum 2.0 GPA and are registered for the minimum 6 credit hours.
