DMACC Foundation Board

The Des Moines Area Community College Foundation supports the mission, vision and objectives of the College by coordinating the giving relationships among faculty and staff, community members, businesses and organizations.

The DMACC Foundation was created in 1972 to assist the College in performing its mission. It receives and administers private gifts, bequests and donations to benefit students and to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes business leaders, professionals and community volunteers. Board members are dedicated to enhancing the mission of DMACC and they are active in educating our community on the tremendous value of the College to Iowa.

The Foundation provides financial support to students and programs in a variety of ways each year, supporting not only scholarships but also capital improvements, equipment and programs. The amount given for scholarships has been rising steadily each year to meet the needs of dramatic enrollment growth.

Recipients of DMACC Foundation scholarships are staying and working in Iowa. DMACC graduates work throughout the state in fields from architectural millwork to nursing, from dental hygiene to manufacturing, from culinary arts to telecommunications, and many, many more. Other DMACC graduates continue on for bachelors and advanced degrees. Throughout the state, our graduates are making essential contributions to the Iowa economy.
