This
department starts at 6 am to ensure all heating and/or cooling
equipment has started and is operating correctly. During the
day, our energy management system monitors and makes adjustments
to maintain a temperature setting for an area in a building on all
DMACC Campuses. This system is monitored by our Systems Analyst
on a 24/7 basis. Areas that have been determined as critical
will email designated cell phones carried by Mechanical/Electrical,
System Analyst, and the after hours on-call person. During normal
working hours (7:30 am - 4 pm) we could receive up to 40 calls
ranging from hot/cold, lighting problems, water leaks, plugged
drains, stools/urinals plugged or overflowing, clocks not working
properly, no electric, burning smells, no water, loud noises,
no hot water, ice machine not working, elevators not working
and more, for all DMACC Campuses.
Someone is on-call during non-working hours and can be reached
by cell phone at 515-250-5914.
