DBR Helps Provide Training for Over 10,000 Manufacturing Employees
Participants in Lean 101 class implement efficiency strategies in simulated factory. DBR has now trained over 10,000 people in the methods of Lean Manufacturing. The training is a “hands-on” course that is used to assist companies and their workers make substantial improvements in production capabilities. The course includes a manufacturing simulation with an operating factory model. The actual training includes both a period of time spent in a classroom setting, as well as time spent within a simulated factory. The training demonstrates methods and techniques that allow management and employees the ability to learn and practice ways to improve operations within the employers’ production facility. Various success stories have been submitted to DMACC which show how important the continuous improvement techniques of Lean Manufacturing can be to a company. Increases in sales of 5-25% have been reported and some companies have diversified and added new products. One company reported that it was able to reduce its inventory by over $1,000,000.00. Companies interested in more information on Lean Manufacturing can contact Jim Hendrian at 515-965-7069 or mail to: jrhendrian@dmacc.edu
