DMACC Helps Hospitals Become Leaner

DMACC Business Resources, in cooperation with

Lean Healthcare West, is assisting area hospitals and health facilities in reducing waste within their organizations.

The reVIEW© training course introduces the powerful principles of the Toyota Production System (TPS) and is the background of our system of education and implementation. By applying these principles and practices (Value Stream Maps and A3 problem solving) participants look at work differently and will identify potential savings of time, resources, and elimination of errors. The following objectives can be met with the skills learned in the Lean Healthcare West program:

  • Create a more defect-free product or service

  • Reduce/eliminate waste and increase efficiency

  • Increase patient and employee satisfaction

  • Reduce costs

  • Increase patient safety

Implementation of Value Stream Maps and A3's has been successful in hospitals, long term care facilities, physician office practices, and clinics.

DMACC Helps Implement Workplacelean

Workplacelean™ training is a relatively new program gaining attention from many organizations committed to improving the efficiency of their work processes. Many manufacturing companies have implemented the manufacturing lean program to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve customer satisfaction. Only recently has a similar program been offered for the office environment.

Benefits reported by organizations that have implemented workplacelean include:

  • “…redundant procedures have been identified and removed…our efficiency is greatly improved.”

  • “Efficiency improvements resulted from the reduced time it took paperwork to move through our system.”

  • “The desire to keep improving is contagious.”

  • “Employee moral is improved.”

These and numerous other benefits can improve efficiency and remove waste in your office procedures.

DMACC has certified trainers with extensive training and “real world” experiences. Their professional approach to identifying and solving problems is totally confidential and non-threatening for their clients. After basic foundational education on workplacelean, all additional training and implementation programs are customized to each client’s needs.
