This course will teach you what you must know in order to manage health care information effectively. The course will cover the American legal system, focusing on the aspects of it that apply specifically to health information. By the time you complete this course, you’ll have the skills, insights, and knowledge you need to understand the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and successfully maintain confidential health information.

Medical Information Management and Office Practice

You will learn how to manage the flow of information in a health care setting. This course will cover preparing and keeping medical records, communication in a medical office, and the medical office administrative process. By the time you finish this course, you will feel confident with records management and medical office administrative procedures.
