Career Assessment and Counseling
The CHOICES program, Career Planning Profile, and informal counseling with the Center Coordinator, as well as other DMACC staff are available to assist the participants in determining possible careers.
Academic, Pre-enrollment, and Financial Aid Counseling
Assistance is available for those individuals wishing to enroll in college in deciding on appropriate classes and programs, making application, and finding financial aid.
Pre-employment Counseling
The Displaced Homemakers Center offers assistance with job seeking skills for those wishing to gain employment.
Referral to Appropriate Supportive Agencies
Individuals needing additional assistance to meet their needs are referred to appropriate agencies.
Personal and Career Development Workshops
The Displaced Homemakers Center sponsors a variety of workshops related to issues of concern for displaced homemakers, single parents, and single pregnant women.
Financial Assistance Toward Child Care and Transportation
Eligible individuals may receive child care and transportation assistance.
